Phillip Phillips Recovering Well; Expects to Release Album November
Since Phillip Phillips had undergone kidney surgery about a week ago, he has been taking it easy to recover fully in time for the upcoming American Idol tour.
On June 9th, Phillips tweeted, "Just want to tell everyone thank you for the concerns and prayers, it means a lot to my family and I. Im just resting and healing. #fb"
Just yesterday (June 11), he was released from the hospital and tweeted that he is "ready to be able to pick the guitar back up and REALLY play" He adds on his tweet, "It's been too long!"
Phillips is committed to participate 100% in the American Idol Live tour which includes 45 shows worldwide. The Idol winner will be traveling alongside the other top finalists for the next few months singing almost every night. The other finalists are currently rehearsing together. It will require dedication and good health to persevere through the tight travel schedule expected on tours.
Based on his interview with Mix 104.1, Phillips anticipates to release some original tunes in November of this year.
