Today the Philadelphia Phillies face the floundering Miami Marlins. Though the Marlins beat the Phillies yesterday in Game 1 of the series, one win won't be enough to turn around what's been a pretty disastrous season so far for the fish.

Tonight, Marlins pitcher Jose Fernandez is starting. Fernandez is on a bit of a streak winning his last games on the mound. In 44 innings, Fernandez is 2-2 with a 3.48 ERA. Not bad, but not great.

Starting his second game of the 2013 season, Phillies pitcher Tyler Cloud will try to do what Cole Hamels couldn't do; stop the Miami hitters from scoring 5 runs. It's been a disappointing couple of seasons for the former ace.

Until the Phillies lost to the Marlines [worst team in the NL East] Monday night, it seemed their luck was changing for the better. If they're hopeful of turning the season around, they need more bat production. Monday night Dominic Brown had two hits, one was a home run. Unfortunately it was the only run the Phillies scored. Jimmy Rollins and Michael Young got on base twice, but couldn't get enough support from the rest of the lineup to cross home plate.
