PGA Championship at Oak Hill Winner Jason Dufner: "I Wasn't Going to Play Scared or Soft" / 19 of Last 21 Major Winners Different Guys!
Ever since Tiger Wood's sex scandal years ago, it seems like any newcomer can walk onto a course and take home a major.
Though Jason Dufner took home his first PGA championship Sunday at Oak Hill, many golf experts are skeptical he'll ever win another major in his career.
Bob Harig, ESPN.com senior golf writer says, "it's harsh, but winning majors is difficult, and getting the opportunity comes along only so often." Harig did admit, he wouldn't be surprised if Dufner took home another major. Because of their success over the last 5 years, another first-time is most likely to take home a major before Dufner's second.
Some are more optimistic of Dufner's chances. Though he's obviously not the best putter, if he can use hit with his irons like he did on Sunday then he has as good a shot as anyone to win a second.
After winning his first major, this is what the low-key Dufner had to say about his performance on Sunday at Oak Hill.
"It's been a tough day. It was a long day. Tough golf course," Dufner said. "It probably hasn't hit me yet. I can't believe this is happening to me. ... I just decided that I was going to be confident and really put my best foot forward and play aggressive and try to win this thing. I wasn't going to just kind of play scared or soft.
