Former Newsboys vocalist Peter Furler will be releasing his debut music project, Sun and Shield, as the Peter Furler Band on March 11th with preorders starting February 1st on www.PeterFurler.com.

Furler was in the Newsboys for 22 years before leaving and starting his 2011 solo career with the release of, On Fire.

Sun and Shield is being heralded as one of the strongest albums of Furler's career, according to JesusFreakHideout. Producer/lyricist Steve Taylor will be working with him for the first time since Newsboys Gold-certified Adoration album.

The Peter Furler Band features Dave Ghazarian (Superchick and Audio Adrenaline) on bass and Jeff Irizarry on drums.
