Peaches Geldof Cause of Death, Latest News: Mystery Shrouding Star's Death to be Solved This Week?
The mystery surrounding the shocking death of the 25-year-old British socialite and television personality Peaches Geldof is coming closer to be solved. According to reports, the last moments of Peaches, who was found dead in her Kent home on April 7, are likely to be revealed in an inquest sometime later this week.
A British coroner will initiate an inquest on Thursday with the hope of divulging the precise details that killed Peaches, a mother of two. The Kent County Council disclosed that a senior police officer will read a statement along with the coroner Roger Hatch, who will reveal results from the investigation. The entire hearing is expected to last just 10 minutes.
Subsequently, a full inquest will be held in late July.
Although a post-mortem examination was undertaken earlier this month, it failed to ascertain the specific reasons that could have led to Peaches' tragic death. Subsequently, authorities also undertook a toxicology test, but the results have not yet been made public. It is believed that the findings were sent to the coroner.
Earlier, the police said that they did not find any drug or alcohol at Peaches home and described her death as "unexplained" and "non-suspicious."
Hours before her death, Peaches posted a picture of her and her mother Paula Yates, a television presenter who died owing to heroin overdose in 2000 at the age of 41 years, online. It is being believed that Peaches was unable to overcome the tragic death of the mother. She often told her close friends about missing her mother, and vowed to bring up her two sons with love and affection.
Peaches' funeral was also held in the church were her mother's last rites were performed.
