Food Network Not Giving Paula Deen New Contract, Watch Apology Here (VIDEO)

The Food Network announced on Friday that it will not renew Paula Deen's contract.

The announcement came just an hour after Paula Deen posted a video apology online asking forgiveness from her critics and fans after admitting using racial slurs in the past years.

Court Documents revealed this week that when an attorney questioned her under oath last month about using the N-word, Dean replied, "Yes, of course." But she then said, "it's been a very long time".

The Food Network released a statement saying, "Food Network will not renew Paula Deen's contract when it expires at the end of this month." No further comments have been made by the network.

On Friday, Deen shared in her video, "I want to apologize to everybody for the wrong that I've done. I want to learn and grow from this."

Deen was scheduled to appear on the "Today" Show on Friday to talk about the issue but said she in a second video post that was too sick to visit.

"I was invited this morning to speak with Matt Lauer about a subject that has been very hurtful for a lot of people," Deen said. "And Matt, I have to say, I was physically unable this morning. The pain has been tremendous that I have caused to myself and to others."

She went on to say, "I want people to understand that my family and I, we're not the kind of people that the press is wanting to say we are."

Deen, 66, had a deposition on May 17 regarding a discrimination lawsuit filed last year by a former employee that managed Uncle Bubba's Seafood & Oyster House. This is a restaurant in Savannah that is owned by Deen and Bubba Heirs (brother).

Lisa Jackson, the ex-employee who filed, reported that she was sexually harassed and worked in a hostile environment full of racial slurs and innuendo's.
