Here's the synopsis for the one-hour premiere episode 1: "London, Part 1 and 2"

"Season 6 begins with Leslie being honored at an award ceremony in London, where she travels with Ben, Andy, April and Ron. Back home, Tom is on the hunt for the mysterious businessman who's trying to shut down Rent a Swag, while Ann and Chris adjust to the next phase of their relationship."

As we know from the end of Season 5, Leslie is in danger of losing her dream job as Councilwoman of Pawnee, Indiana. But what takes Leslie to London?

Though showrunner Mike Schur admitted the reason the one-hour premiere is because Chris Pratt is filming the Guardians of the Galaxy movie there, the Parks storyline is that April nominates Leslie for the International Woman in Leadership group. She wins the awards and the ceremony is in London.

Andy and Ben are looking to expand a charity project globally. Being Andy's wife, April follows in suit.

As always Season 6 will introduce a lot of new characters from the world of Pawnee but also bring back a lot of familiar faces.

New to the Season 6 cast is Kristin Bell, whose guest starring in the second episode as a City Councilor from Pawnee rivals Eagleton. She'll be joining her House of Lies co-star Ben Schwartz later in the season.
