Pangu Untethered 7.1.2 Jailbreak Available With Apple Devices & How To Jailbreak

Jailbreaking an iOS device has become somewhat of a standard practice for some owners of Apple devices. The modification allows more access to the device's features previously not available. For some, they perform jailbreaking to gain access to some games, or to improve performance via non-official software.

Earlier this week, Pangu has released an untethered jailbreak for the iOS 7.1.2 update. Its sudden appearance has surprised both the community and Apple as well.

The new iOS 7.1/7.1.2 untethered jailbreak can be done by following simple instructions. The jailbreak is now available on most Apple devices like the iPhone 4, iPhone 5, iPad Air, iPads 2-4, iPad Mini, and the iPad Touch.

Jailbreaking, however, voids the warranty on the device it is performed on, so there is a slight risk involved.

To jailbreak the device with the untethered 7.1.2 jailbreak, follow the instructions below:

It is important to note that the data for your device must be stored somewhere else or a backup made of it. This jailbreak is no different from other jailbreaks as it wipes the data from your phone.

1. Download Pangu for Windows or Mac

2. Connect the Apple device to the computer and start the jailbreak tool.

3. Hit the "jailbreak" button and follow the instructions to change the date on the phone. Doing so will mean turning off the "Set Automatically" option. Now set the date and time to June 2, 2014 and 8:30 p.m. EST.

4. After changing the date, the device will restart and when it turns on again, a Pangu logo will appear on the display. Tap on the logo.

5. Follow the instructions when prompted by the jailbreak. Hit "continue" when prompted by the application and the jailbreak should complete itself in a few minutes.
