Pacifica Shark Attack: Kayaker Survives 12 Foot Shark Attack, "It Was Just Like the Discovery Channel" [VIDEO]

Nothing says beach season like a shark attack!

Micah Flansburg was fishing from a kayak about 100 yards off the coast of Pacifica State Beach [near San Francisco, California] when a shark attacked him and his father-in-law from behind at 3:30 PM on Tuesday.

According to Flanaburg the 12 foot shark, unprovoked, attacked the tail of kayak for about 10 seconds. The type of shark is still unconfirmed, however Flanaburg recognized it as a Great White.

"He came up straight underneath me and the whole kayak was probably lifted out of the water. And as it grabbed ahold of me, it started shaking the boat front to back. And it wouldn't let go," Flanaburg told local news stations.

Flanaburg's father-in-law, Ross Webber recalls Micah shouting out for God throughout the attack.

"Yeah, it was a lot if religious stuff, 'Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God!'" according to local news outlet KGO. "He was riding like a bull and keeping his balance and I was like, 'Go for it! Don't fall in the water!'"

"It was intense. It was just like the Discovery Channel where you see the eyes roll to the back of the head and the pink gums and his teeth bared," said Fransburg.

Well if you're the next one in 11.5 million to be attacked by a shark just remember to ride it like a bull.
