Oscar Pistorius has fallen into dark depths that no one thought possible when he was an Olympic hero less than 2 years ago. 

Since Pistorius shot and killed his girlfriend, the model and law school graduate, Reeva Steenkamp, he has kept in hiding besides to attend his court hearings. 

He is living with his uncle, Arnold Pistorius in Pretoria, South Africa and says that he would be unrecognizable to people today, he did not go into detail as to what physical changes in appearance Oscar has made. 

His uncle says that he is inconsolable and has surrounded himself with photos of Reeva. This sounds like somethign that would be straight out of a scary movie. Where the killer obsesses over the dead girlfriend.

Whether or not he intentionally killed her or it was truly a tragic accident, the guilt could easily be overwhelming for anyone. 

The state prosecutors want to try him for murder as there were wounds found on Reeva's arms that could have been from self defense. Also, reports have come forward from neighbors that there was yelling and arguing coming from the house before the shooting. 

Pistorius is sticking to his story that he was acting in self defense and that when he heard noises in the bathroom where Reeva was, that he thought it was an intruder in the house. He claims to have fired his gun through the bathroom door to defend them from the intruder. 

The trial is not expected to start until at least early next year. 

Evidence is being piled up daily that is being looked through by both sides of the case and they say the amount of evidence is staggering.
