'Orange is the New Black' Star Taylor Schilling Talks Season 2 and Piper / Laura Prepon Leaving the Show? Catch Season 1 on Netflix [VIDEO]

Netflix had a breakout hit with Orange is the New Black Season 1. According to OITNB star Taylor Schilling, Season 2 is going even deeper into prison life.

Schilling, who plays Piper on the show recently sat down with Huffington Post to talk a little bit about character development and the direction Season 2 will be taking as a whole.

"All of the characters and all of the dynamics are just going deeper. It's just getting fuller and richer and to me, more compelling," Schilling told HuffPost Live.

In a separate interview with E! Online Schilling was asked about rumors surrounding Laura Prepon's departure from the show. When asked if Piper's former lover, and reason for being jail, was being written off, Schilling claimed she didn't know.

"Well, you know, I don't really know anything about that, I just know that she's an amazing actress and I've really had an incredible time working with her and I know that there's no end to that relationship," Schilling said.

With a diplomatic answer like that, Prepon is all but gone.

Schilling praised OITNB creator Jenji Kohan's approach to Piper's character and how she's being opened up to a world that she, nor the audience, was aware of.

"That idea ... we kind of blow the doors open on just what it means to be a white woman ... you don't really have to question that until you're living outside of our culture. She becomes a very counter-cultural figure."

While filming for Season 2 is already underway, you can catch up on Orange is the New Black Season 1 on Netflix.
