Orange Is The New Black Season 3 Spoilers: Cast Rumors Point to Mary Steenburgen Joining

Academy Award-winning actress Mary Steenburgen is excited to be joining the cast of the hit Netflix series, Orange Is The New Black.

Season 2 of OITNB has been released on Netflix and available to binge upon since June 6. The Netflix original series offers up all the episodes in the season at once instead of releasing each one weekly or bi-weekly as most shows tend to do.

While there is no release date posted for the next installment, Season 3, fans will be excited to learn that the aforementioned actress is confirmed to appear in it.

Steenburgen tweeted on June 12, "Very excited to go to my first wardrobe fitting of OITNB! Will I be in orange or black? :)."

The 61-year-old actress was supposedly discovered by Jack Nicholson in the reception room of Paramount's New York office. Following that encounter she was quickly cast as a female lead in the 1978 film Goin' South. Additionally, the actress won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for the film Melvin and Howard (1980).

Needless to say, her experience on screen should relay onto the new Season 3 of OITNB. While the veteran actress expresses her elation over social media about the arrangement, the fans should be the ones who are truly excited.
