Season 3 of the Netflix exclusive show, Orange is the New Black, is reported to have promoted at least four of its cast members to series regulars. Laura Prepon, who appeared in Season 2 as Alex Vausse, announced that the cast and crew are beginning to film the show's next installment.

The confirmed series regulars to appear in the upcomiong season include, Dayanara Diaz (Dascha Polanco), Poussey Washington (Samira Wiley), Black Cindy (Adrienne Moore), and Lorna Morello (Yael Stone), additionally, Prepon will be appearing in all episodes of Season 3.

Her recurring role as Vausse in Season 2 did not receive much air time due to Prepon's conflicting schedual.

"Netflix doesn't do the standard contract of blocking you off for a few years, so I had a conflict come up," Prepon told The Today Show explaining her limited appearance in OITNB Season 2.

"It's since been handled and we've started season three and I'm in every episode. I'm so bummed that I wasn't in season two more. Sorry you guys! But season three, we're already shooting and it's going to be awesome," she added.

Orange is the New Black adds Mary Steenburgen of Justified onto its list of new roles, but details about her character have not been hashed out.

BuzzFeed reports that Season 3 will offer viewers a closer look at the Taystee, by means of in-depth character development and background information, "So, I think now she's understanding and realizing for herself that she does have the potential to do anything. We learn that Taystee is very intelligent, very smart, and Taystee has the potential to do anything she possibly could want. She realizes on her own she can do this and doesn't need validation from Vee or anyone else."
