'Orange is The New Black' Season 3 Cast Rumors: Taryn Manning Wants Lupita Nyong’o to Guest Star

Lupita Nyong'o is no stranger to being a highlight at any event she attends. At the Essence magazine annual Black Women in Hollywood Awards, the Kenyan born, 31-year-old actress expressed her deep passion for Netflix's hit show Orange is the New Black. She named off each character to event reporters, leaving fans wondering if she would ever guest star on the show.

Actress Taryn Manning, who plays inmate Tiffany "Pennsatucky" Doggett on the show, told E! News in an interview this week that she would love to have Nyong'o on the show.

"Of course! That's the great thing about this show," she said. "I feel that any guest star can work because it's jail. And everyday people go in and they go out-that's what makes this show exciting is that you never know who's coming into jail!"

Manning continued to tell E! News that Nyong'o's eye for fashion would make a great story for the show. She said, "I would love to see her...if she wore one of her epic gowns as well. I think she's one of the best dressed."

With the news of the stolen $150,000 Calvin Klein dress that Nyong'o wore to this year's Academy Awards making headlines this week, the prospect of Nyong'o making an appearance on the show in a gorgeous gown is likely.

Orange is the New Black is a Netflix original series and has won numerous awards since its debut in 2013. The story follows Piper Chapman who goes to jail for a decade-old crime for transporting money for her drug-dealing girlfriend.

Orange is the New Black will return this year on March 17.
