Orange is the New Black Season 2 Premiere Date Rumors, Latest Updates and Spoilers: Red Will Survive Through 'Insidious Behavior' (Preview Video)

One of the most important characters on "Orange is the New Black" is Red (played by actress Kate Mulgrew), and she will continue to be as gritty as ever in the upcoming second season of Netflix's hit series.

Red, also known as Galina Reznikov, was last seen on "Orange is the New Black" in the Season 1 finale bothering Gloria (Selenis Leyva), because Gloria replaced her as the head cook in the kitchen.

Gloria refused to give Red any food after discovering Red's mischief.

Red will continue with her insidious behavior in the forthcoming Season 2, set to debut in June.

"This Russian peasant with the mind of steel; she's strategic, she's kind, she's complicated. She's going to survive among the bleak monochromatic prison walls if it's the last thing she does," said Mulgrew to People's magazine last month.

Season 2 of "Orange is the New Black" is expected to include tons of brand new characters.

Lorraine Toussaint (Any Day Now), will guest star as a lady who runs a drug ring, in which she uses child labor. Lori Petty (Tank Girl), will also have a role in the upcoming season, although no additional information has been released so far regarding her character.

In addition, some of the show's regular guest stars have been elevated to series regular status in Season 2. These actresses includes Uzo Aduba, (who plays "Crazy Eyes"), Taryn Manning (Pennsatucky), and Danielle Brooks (Taystee).

"Orange is the New Black" Season 2 debuts on Friday, June 6 on Netflix.
