OnePlus 2 Specs and Release Date: Device Get Certification from China’s TENAA

After all the rumors, leaks as well as official confirmation, Chinese smartphone manufacturer's upcoming flagship device, OnePlus 2, has finally received the necessary certification from TENAA, the Chinese equivalent of the Federal Communications Commission. Moreover, sketches of the upcoming device that were submitted to TENAA reveal the external design of the OnePlus 2.

Citing the listing on TENAA listing, IB Times reports that the OnePlus 2 will come with a fingerprint scanner for authentication, in addition to a physical home button. These features of the device were confirmed by the sketches submitted to TENNA. According to reports, the camera unit is located further down the rear side of the device compared to the original OnePlus One. Meanwhile, Android Central reported that the handset may also incorporate a laser autofocus option for the camera - something that is found in the LG G4.

OppoMart has reported some other specifications of the upcoming OnePlus 2, which include a 5.5-inch display, accompanied by the now-omnipresent 1,440-x-2,560-pixel resolution. Apparently, the OnePlus 2 will be powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 v2.1 SoC, while the graphics will be controlled by the powerful Adreno 430 GPU and supported by 4 GB of RAM.

On the camera front, the device will sport a 16-megapixel Sony Exmor IMX 234 sensor as the main rear unit. In addition, there will also be a 5-megapixel distortion-free front-facing camera for selfies. The device will pack a good 3,300 mAh battery unit.

In terms of the software, the recently introduced OxygenOS that is rooted in the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS will run the OnePlus 2. According to OppoMart, which markets Xiaomi, OnePlus and other products, the handset will come with dual SIM capability. Aside from the standard connectivity options, OnePlus 2 will support 4G LTE and will supposedly have 32 GB and 64 GB memory options. OnePlus 2 will come in two color options - white and black.

OnePlus 2 will be released on July 27 and retailed for $499 at OppoMart.

All said and done, the Chinese tech titan has not yet confirmed the complete list of specifications and features of the upcoming device.
