In a recent interview, heartthrob Niall Horan from One Direction has seemed to have confirmed the dating rumors between himself and Ellie Goulding.

Horan said, "She has a boyfriend. But she's still out there!"

While it appears as though his chances with the songstress are over, Perez Hilton makes a good point saying that the boyfriend he's referring to is himself.

"Ah ha! Wait what? That's a bummer...unless, now hear us out, what if the boyfriend he's referring to is himself? Who else could it be? Not her ex Jeremy Irvine!" Hilton wrote, "And what does 'she's still out there' mean? Perhaps that she's not going anywhere, so if not now, maybe the two have a future?" he added.

Horan and Goulding were spotted getting "really close" at the V Festival in UK during the Kings of Leons concert.

When Hilton asked for Goulding's side on the rumors, her representative said that they are "just good friends."

During another event, Niall said, "I wish we did have time for girls and parties but we don't. [But] I'll say one thing: Ellie Goulding - wow. She's absolutely amazing looking."

But the fans were left with more confusions when Goulding appeared on Ellen with a statement saying, "Niall apparently is my boyfriend, Ed Sheeran is apparently. [Jeremy Irvine] was an actual boyfriend - he was a real, actual boyfriend."

But then, Goulding cleared it up and said she doesn't really have a boyfriend at the moment because she's traveling a lot.

Horan has also been linked to Demi Lovato in the past, but Demi has officially denied all rumors.

"I don't even know who One Direction is ... it's so crazy. I'm kidding," she told B104 Radio. "No, Niall's a friend of mine. I do know who he is and everyone knows who One Direction is."
