One Direction News: Harry Styles Speaks Out About What 1D Is Like Without Zayn
It has been about one hundred days since Zayn Malik left One Direction and things are going very well for the band that now only has four members, according to Harry Styles.
The band has been continuing with its tour across Europe as planned, and Styles told Entertainment Weekly that without Malik, the shows have been "incredible".
He even described them as some of the best shows that the band has had. There is, however, one change that that the band had to make to the style of their sets.
"The parts Zayn sang have been picked up by different people," explained Styles. "Other than that, the shows have been going absolutely great." One example of this is the hit song, "Story of My Life", which included a critical solo from Malik.
Styles said that it would ultimately be devastating to remove the number from their set list, so it has been Liam Payne who has been stepping in for Malik in order to take on the high notes for that part of the song.
"He kicks them in the bollocks every show," said Styles. "He doesn't hold back." He also added that all members of the band know the songs well enough to sing their former band members parts when necessary.
Styles also reported that fans of the band can expect some new music from the group in the very near future, and that they are currently writing and recording their next album.
"The songs are coming together quickly, so we're buzzing with the new stuff," said Styles.
Perhaps it was in everyone's best interests for Zayn to move on from the band and go on his own.
