One Direction News: Band Sparks Rumors About Break Up After Extended Hiatus

The famous British boy band, One Direction is at the height of their career after just finishing up a successful world tour and even releasing their first new music video "Drag me Down," but recent reports claim that the group is in for an extended hiatus to focus on individual projects.

After break up rumors between the members of One Direction including Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan spread like wildfire, a source from E! News quickly calmed the rumors down, stating that the group has no intentions of ever breaking up, even after the recent Zayn Malik exit.

"They are taking a hiatus so they can work on individual projects for a while but they are not splitting up," the source claimed adding that "They will remain together and plan to work together in the future."

Reports claim that the group will just be pursuing their endeavors but are still intact since they are also good friends. "They are great friends and fully support one another," the source continued adding, "They are very aware that they are able to work on their own stuff as well as remain together. This is an exciting time for them creatively and as a group."

The news made a lot of One Directioners anxious since it was not long ago when former member Malik announced that he will be leaving the group stating the reason that he desires to be a "normal 22-year-old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight."

After the statement, Malik then surprised everybody with his Twitter announcement stating that he is going solo. "I guess I never explained why I left , it was for this moment to be given the opportunity to show you who i really am! #realmusic #RCA !!" Malik wrote on Twitter.
