Along with the challenges that the characters will face, a new casting call has given a clue about possible flashback scenes in "Once Upon a Time" season 5, according to latest spoilers.

"Once Upon a Time" season 5 producers are reportedly looking for two actors to play the role of the younger iterations of two popular female characters on the series, according to International Business Times Australia.

On Feb. 2, Twitter user @LovestruckEmma tweeted the casting call. According to the post, "Once Upon a Time" is looking for actors to play young Regina and young Zelena.

Young Regina should be a nine to 11-year-old Latina, who will play a ten-year-old Regina. The character was described as neglected, lonely, and longing for companionship. She is also eager to fill in the hole in her heart at times, but she puts her family first. It was indicated that she was still many years away from becoming the Evil Queen.

On the other hand, young Zelena should be an 11 to 13-year-old female to play 12-year-old. As per the post, the character had not yet transformed into the evil and wicked witch of OZ. She was described as a wretchedly poor child who was despised by her father for her magical gifts. She discovers one day that the key to escape her terrible fate could be in the magic she had.

With the posted casting call, it is highly probable that fans would see the younger versions of the Evil Queen and Oz's Queen in "Once Upon a Time" season 5.

In other news, the return of "Once Upon a Time" season 5 is set to feature challenges to the show's characters, according to Christian Post. With the series being set at the underworld, it is assumed that fans would be able to revisit past characters from the series, including Peter Pan, Neal, and Zelena.

Entitled "Souls of the Departed," "Once Upon a Time" season 5 episode 12 is set to premiere on March 6 on Freeform.
