Once Upon a Time Season 4 Release Date, Cast Spoilers: Elizabeth Mitchell Likely to Portray Villainous Role in New Season

Close on the heels of the 'Frozen' characters Anna, Elsa and Kristoff is Elizabeth Mitchell who has been cast in Season 4 of 'Once Upon a Time'; the hit fairy tale drama television series scheduled for a Fall release on ABC.

Entertainment Weekly reports that Mitchell, who is popular for portraying Juliet on 'Lost' and Rachel on 'Revolution', will now be featuring in the 'Frozen' story arc in 'Once Upon a Time'. While details regarding her role in the show are yet to be divulged, it is rumored that the mystifying new character could turn out to be malevolent and is likely to be based on the events that took place in the Disney animated film released circa 2013.

Mitchell's inclusion in the cast of 'Once Upon a Time' Season 4 does not come as a surprise, as the series creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz have worked as writers as well as co-producers for 'Lost'. Thanks to them, several other actors, who featured in that show were cast in 'Once Upon a Time', including Jorge Garcia, Emilie de Ravin and Alan Dale. Even Naveen Andrews, who portrayed the character of Sayid Jarrah on 'Lost', featured in the 'Once Upon a Time' spinoff.

Now, Elizabeth Mitchell will join 'Once Upon a Time' new cast mates Elizabeth Lail (Anna), Georgina Haig (Elsa) and Scott Michael Foster (Kristoff). Although it is rumored that the fourth installment will introduce the 'Frozen' characters, it is still not known whether Mitchell will also feature in that episode, which will be 'A Tale of Two Sisters', according to Horowitz.

Mitchell's co-star in 'Revolution', Giancarlo Esposito is also rumored to return to the show to play Sidney Glass.

Earlier, in an interview, Horowitz said revealed, "But what we are going to do, we're not ready to tell you. But what we can say is we're very aware of what we think makes this character from Frozen so special and we want to honor that and make sure that what we do is in the universe of everyone fell in love with this past year."
