The popular ABC fairy tale television drama 'Once Upon A Time' returns for a fourth season on Sunday, Sept. 28, at 8.00 pm EDT and fans are eager to find out what they can expect.

On thing that fans should look out for is how the abandoned spin-off series entitled, "Once Upon A Time In Wonderland," forms a part in the forthcoming season.

In fact, the huge success of 'Once Upon A Time' has prompted ABC to once again take up 'Once Upon A Time In Wonderland'. However, it's going to come in the form of a slight merger in the upcoming Season 4.

With such a difference in the set of fairytale characters as well as the story, the spinoff failed to take off. However, this does not mean that the characters in the spinoff series will be disappearing for good. Therefore, fans are wondering if Will Scarlet alias the Knave (Michael Socha) will be moving over from "Wonderland" to Storybrooke.

Earlier, an official synopsis of 'Once Upon A Time' released by the show creators teased that Will Scarlet, a former thief and member of Robin Hood's (Sean Maguire) Merry Men, will find himself "intertwined in the goings-on in town for the first time as his mysterious past pushes him to an unknown future."

On that note, in an interview with TVLine, show creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz have revealed something more regarding the character's move. They disclosed that the Knave's role with Robin Hood and the Merry Men will "come into play very early."

In the Season 3 finale of 'Once Upon A Time In Wonderland', viewers saw Jafar (Naveen Andrews) resurrecting Anastasia (Emma Rigby), the love of Will's life. In fact, a love spell made Anastasia fall in love with Jafar. As true love's kiss always overpowers, Will was able to break the spell and free Anastasia. But there was one more twist - Anastasia died again following Jafar's transformation into a genie by Nyx (Leah Gibson).

Initially it did not seem that Will would be getting his happy ending, a little of the Well of Wonders water was able to revive Anastasia once more. The series wound up with the wedding of Alice (Sophie Lowe) and Cyrus (Peter Gadiot) in London with all her friends from Wonderland present. Alice and Cyrus lived a happy life in London, while Will and Anastasia returned to Wonderland for their fairytale ending ... but that doesn't reveal how he'll end up in Storybrooke.

Luckily enough show co-creator Kitsis has provided fans with some answers regarding 'Once Upon a Time' Season 4.

Kitis told TVLine, "We will be explaining why he's in town and what happened since the spinoff ended," adding "I can tease that he fits rather nicely into Storybrooke. His introduction is a really fun one."

As it stands, it is reported that the Knave will appear in Episode 3 of 'Once Upon a Time' Season 4, etitled "Rocky Road." The episode will purportedly reveal more of Emma Swan's backstory, and air on Sunday, Oct. 12.
