"Once Upon A Time" Season 3, Episode 9, "Save Henry" ABC Recap

ABC's "Once Upon a Time" aired last night as it is finally the episode where the gang saves Henry and leaves the magical world of Neverland. "Save Henry" started last night with a flashback to when Regina first put the spell on Storybrooke and how she desperately wanted to share the glory with someone. In doing so, she enlisted the help of Rumplestilskin to find her a child, but he warned that she would always have to put the child before herself. Regina of course stated she already knew what it took to be a mother, but than later realized maybe she wasn't made to be one. The little boy that Rumpel found her was a cased closed adoption, meaning no one could ever contact his birth parents. With powers come responsibilty though because Regina soon finds herself unable to comfort Henry as a baby, which leads her to finding the birth parents records. When she discovers that Henry is actually the son of Snow White's child, she immediatley trys to put it back up for adoption because nothing will ruin what she has accomplished in Storybrook.

Meanwhile back in Neverland, Regina, Emma, and Neil are all surrounding Henry's body after Pan has just taken his heart. Emma trys to fight Pan, but realizes that he is too powerful. Regina trys to figure out a way to save Henry, but eventually comes up empty. Suddenly, she just so happens to look at Emma's sword and see's that Emma has in fact hurt Pan. On the sword is blood, which means Peter Pan can be stopped and killed afterall. The four of them head back to camp where the rest of the gang is and try and figure out a gameplan. They all decided to head to the 'lost boys' camp and hopefully have the lost boys help them find Pan and save Henry. As they arrive, Pan's right hand man refuses to admit to anything because he believes Pan will conquer no matter what. The rest of the lost boys start to fall under pressure when they are guranteed a spot on Hook's ship to go back to Storybrooke. Emma promises them a home if they all help lead them to Pan and save Henry's life. Immediatley, the majority of the boys all give up Pan's thinking spot as Regina, Emma, and Snow head out to the fairy dust woods.

As the three girls start to step foot in the woods, Snow sees Pandora's box and reaches for it, which in turns leads to them getting wrapped around a tree by roots. Pan shows up taunting them, and says that there is no way to see Henry unless they too would like to die. Regina starts to taunt back and finally uses her full strength in powers and breaks free from the tree roots. She struts towards Pan and reaches into his body without hesitation and takes back Henry's heart. Pan falls to the ground, and the three of them run back to Hook's ship where everyone, including the lost boys, are waiting for them. Regina puts the heart back into Henry and he comes to life. After hugs, kisses, and a multitude of conversations, Henry goes and lies down to rest. Yet, Pan shows up once again, not dead, and trys to steal his heart again. Unable to do so, Pan realizes that Regina has put a spell on Henry to where no one can steal his heart ever again. Rumpel is let out of Pandora's box and actually saves the day because he senses that something is wrong with Henry. Episode nine, "Save Henry" ended with a shocker as Rumpel heads to Henry's chambers and see's Pan trying to steal his heart. Rumple opens Pandora's box and trys to suck Pan in when Pan transfers himself into Henry's body, and Henry to his. The episode ends with supposed Henry going up to Pan's right hand lost boy and offering him some food. As the boy refuses because he serves Pan, Henry admits that he is actually Pan, and that Henry is now trapped in Pandora's box. Make sure to check out the trailer for episode 10, "The New Neverland".
