When the Oklahoma City Thunder start more back-to-back games, head coach Scott Brooks might prevent Russell Westbrook from playing two games in a row.

With a game versus the Toronto Raptors tomorrow night, the Thunder may decide to rest the All-Star point guard when they face the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight.

Brooks has not allowed Westbrook to play over 31 minutes in the last 11 games since he returned from another knee surgery.

The coach also stated last week that he would rest the 3-time All-Star from time-to-time because of that procedure - his third since hurting his knee in April during the playoffs.

That was the case last weekend when Westbrook did not play the team's biggest lopsided loss of the season by the final score of 109-86 to the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday, before he almost tallied a triple-double in Monday night's 97-85 win versus the Chicago Bulls. Westbrook finished the game with 17 points, nine assists and nine rebounds, though he went 5 of 14 from the field.

Cavaliers All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving is slated to miss two weeks because a strained biceps tendon. Cleveland also might play tonight without forward Luol Deng after he did not play in Tuesday's 100-96 home defeat to the Miami Heat because of a sprained ankle.
