The Crimson Tide (12-1) is looking to extend their impressive winning streak to nine games when they go head-to-head with the equally formidable Buckeyes squad at the Allstate Sugar Bowl.

Previously, Alabama defeated the Missouri Tigers by 42-13 on December 6, where Crimson Tide QB Blake Sims went 23-27 for 265 yards, highlighted by two touchdown passes in the victory.

"You love to see a guy who's gone through what he's gone through, who's worked so hard and always persevered, then have success," said Nick Saban to reporters in reference to Simms.

"It's a credit to his character and work ethic."

Meanwhile, the Buckeyes (12-1) are looking to extend their extraordinary winning streak to 12 games when they face the Crimson Tide on Thursday night.

"I think this is the biggest game in college football history - our game, the primetime game - more so than Florida State-Oregon," said Ohio State cornerback Doran Grant to reporters.

"Look at the coaches. Look at the programs. They speak for themselves."

Previously, Ohio State completely crushed the Wisconsin Badgers by a final score of 59-0 on December 6, after Buckeyes QB Cardale Jones converted 12 out of 17 passes for 257 yards, highlighted by three touchdown passes in the victory.

"I don't think there's any doubt we're one of the top four teams in America," said Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer to reporters.
