'The Office' Michael Scott Makes Surprise Cameo in Finale, Best Kept Secret for Final Episode on NBC

After a long final season of ups and downs, in show quality and in Jim (John Krasinski) and Pam's (Jenna Fischer) relationship, it finally came to an end tonight.

The buzz of who will comeback appearance for the finale were at an all time high, especially with wondering if Michael Scott (Steve Carrell) would make a cameo.

Steve Carrell said back in January that Michael's character coming back to visit "would not feel right".  However, fans of the show were hoping that by the taping of the show something would be worked out to get him in there.

Unfortunately, Craig Robinson, who plays Darryl, has confirmed that the final episodes have been shot and their was no Michael Scott cameo.

However, in the end, MIchael Scott did make an appearance after all, so all of the cast and producers did a great job of swaying people to make the surprise even greater.

It just felt so right to see Michael Scott in the final episode at Dwight's wedding and see him even dancing. It was such a fitting ending. Michael seemed truly happy with his new family while showing pictures on his phone to Pam.

The comedy about an average office experience captured America's hearts with awkward but endearing manager Michael Scott and following the on and off romance of Jim and Pam. "The Office" was nominated for over 40 Emmy Awards and gained a cult like following with the college and young adult crowd in it's hay day on tv and now on DVD.

Besides actor Steve Carrell, there were appearances by BJ Novak (Ryan) and Mindy Kaling (Kelly).

The show has struggled to keep up its comedic edge with Michael Scott gone and even fans of the show are ready for the conclusion.

The shows best seasons will live on as comedic genius and make us laugh for many years to come.
