Norman Reedus Death Hoax: ‘Walking Dead’ Daryl Dixon Dead Rumors - Motorcycle Collision?

Fans of Norman Reedus, one of The Walking Dead mainstays, were shocked over circulating and confusing news that the actor had died in a motorcycle accident. The death hoax quickly went viral on Facebook and Twitter spreading massive concern from Daryl Dixon's followers.

Tehran Chronicle quoted the anonymous post that stated, "The actor was born on January 6, 1969 in Hollywood died in a motor crash on Tuesday morning at around 11 a.m. ET.  The message also stated that the actor will be missed but not forgotten and on the same page people were entreated to show sympathy and commiserations by commenting on and liking the page."

Reedus has not formally responded to the news but posted a few updates on his Twitter account including a photo of him and a dog. Reedus is among the long list of celebrities who have become victims of death hoaxes, together with Dwayne Johnson, Chris Brown, Jackie Chan, and Jon Bon Jovi among many others.

My Heart Will Go On singer Celine Dion has something to say about the effects of false death accusations on the victim. "Sometimes it's freaky because I have to call my family about it. I was celebrating the birthday of my twins in Montreal, and I was getting these phone calls saying there was stuff on Facebook that I was dead," she told Digital Spy.

Prior to the death news incident, Reedus was also engaged on an issue stating that he had been fired from TWD over disagreement with producers. The news eventually died on its own upon fans' knowledge that it was published in line with April's Fools celebration.
