Nokia Lumia 730 Release Date, Features, Specs, Price: The Selfie Phone Retails Around $250
Sources report that Microsoft has announced the latest additions to their line-up of new devices at the IFA 2014. Included in the list are the new Nokia Lumia models, namely, Lumia 730, Lumia 735 and Lumia 830.
The major difference between the Lumia 730 and Lumia 735 is the dual-SIM variant of the former and its 3G support, while 4G LTE support can be found on the latter. This series of phones is focused on providing abundant and high quality selfies. This will help alter, enhance, and improve the world's currently trending activity- taking selfies. The phones are equipped with a front-facing snapper which comes with a wide-angle lens and is aided by a 5 megapixel camera.
Furthermore, IBTimes confirmed that at the same event, Nokia compared their phones to that of Apple's and Samsung's flagship devices. They took the example of the viral Ellen DeGeneres selfie during the Oscar event. They remarked that the selfie would have been better if the Lumia 730's technology was used.
The phone has a built-in app for altering selfies, which includes filters, changing brightness and adding effects. According to the Phone Arena, the feature of this app is not only limited to the whole appearance of the photo, rather, it can improve a specific part of the image such as whitening someone's teeth in a picture.
What gives this an additional edge is the internal storage capacity of 8 GB and a support for memory expansion up to 128 GB.
The IBTimes report went on to mention the price of the Lumia 730. It will be priced at €199 which can be roughly converted into $257. Also, upon the purchase of this device, Microsoft will give a three-month free and unlimited Skype subscription.
