Nokia Lumia 1020 Release Date, Full Specs, 41 Mega-pixel Camera Unveiled July 11 at Windows Event (VIDEO)
The new Nokia Lumia 1020 will be unveiled today in New York City at the 'Zoom: Reinvented' Event but most of the details about the phone already seem to be out.
The hot item and selling point of the phone has been the 41 megapixel camera. They have been saying it gives you "41 million reasons to zoom in to Nokia Conversations on July 11". It will have both Xenon and LED flash, along with OIS (optical image stabilization). This helps with images in low light.
The phone will be released with three design colors to choose from: white, black or yellow. It will be the most powerful windows phone that has been made to date. It will have 2G of RAM and expected to have 32G option for internal memory storage and have a quad-core chip. There is not expected to be SD card stock option, which is a bummer to many.
There is expected to be the new Nokia cam pro live tile which windows consumers have been waiting for.
There will be a 1020mAh battery, which was lower than expected by many, which was a little disappointing. Also, the 4.5 inch screen might not be full HD, but have a 720p screen, which is still good, but not Full HD like many expected the phone to have.
There is a slot where you can insert a tripod mouth and a shutter button.
The price of the new Lumia 1020 will be $602 with no contract.
The release date will be confirmed today. The new Windows Nokia Lumia 1020 could hit Microsoft stores as soon as July 22 and have shipping dates later that week.
