'Noah' Movie News: Creationist Ken Ham Puts Up 'Meet the Real Noah' Billboards In California and New York City

After debating Bill Nye the Science Guy on Feb. 4, "Answers in Genesis" TV host and Creationist Ken Ham believes the "Noah" movie strongly differs from the Bible and believes it would do more harm than good in spreading the Gospel to non-Christians. As a result, he put up billboards in California and New York City. The CEO of Answers in Genesis CEO Ken Ham explained why he put up the billboards.

"The new boards are designed not only to counter the anti-biblical Noah film that Paramount Studios released nine days ago but also to draw attention to the Creation Museum's excellent displays about the reality of Noah's Flood and Noah's Ark-and the fact that all children 12 and under come free to our museum this year with at least one paying adult," wrote Ham on his Facebook page two nights ago.

Some Christians think the movie could be used as a tool for evangelism, Ham and his organization (Answers in Genesis) strongly disagrees.

"The way in which Aronofsky's 'Noah' blasphemes God, maligns the character of a righteous man, adds pagan and mystical elements, and twists the biblical narrative has prompted AiG to alert the church and culture about this unbiblical movie," according to the "Time to Square with Hollywood about Noah" article on Answers in Genesis official website.

Ham further expressed his thoughts on the film, "Sure, after watching the film, people could be directed to read the true story for themselves in the Bible," said Ham to NewsMax. "But in this day and age, young people have a hard time deciphering reality from fiction and don't often take the time to form their own educated opinions."

In addition, world famous televangelist Ray Comfort recently released a movie that shows the inaccuracies of filmmaker Darren Aronofsky's film version of the Biblical person. Comfort's "Noah and the Last Days" movie debuted on March 28, the very day Aronofsky's interpretation of the story found in the Book of Genesis was released in movie theaters.

"Theirs is rightly billed as 'fiction' -- with Noah being painted as an evil character," said Comfort in a press release. "Ours is based on the truth of Holy Scripture."
