Nintendo has a special promotion for the 3DS XL and 2DS that will give gamers a free copy of either Pokemon X or Y if they purchase one of six specially selected games, according to reports.

The deal will run in all of March, and requires the user to purchase one of the two handhelds as well as any of the following games: Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Super Mario 3D Land, Lego City Undercover: The Chase Begins, Yoshi's New Island, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D and Mario Kart 7.

The game then has to be registered on Club Nintendo, and a free download of X or Y will be made available.

As of right now a promotional flyer for Toys "R" Us has been linked, but NintendoLife reported the deal will most likely be a nationwide offer.

In March a Yoshi's New Island 3DS XL Bundle is coming to North America according to new reports.

The bundle was leaked on a British website recently, and the list price shows it for £199.99 with a release date of March 14, which is also the launch date of the game in North America and Europe, reported Polygon.

The bundle is rumored to feature a green and spotted Yoshi themed pattern and a pre-installed version of the game.
