Nine Inch Nails New Album 2013: Trent Reznor Talks about 'Hesitation Marks' Details, Release Date, Full Tracklist (VIDEO)

Trent Reznor, lead singer and creator of the band Nine Inch Nails, had been keeping his writing sessions of new material under wraps from fans.

Little did they know that Reznor had been working on new material that would be on a new Nine Inch Nails album entitled Hesitation Marks, which is now scheduled for a September 3rd release.

Reznor spoke to Kevin & Bean on KROQ Los Angeles and said that "the reality of what (he) got himself into is starting to sink in."

Trent Reznor's original reason for writing new material was he owed his former record label, Interscope Records, a greatest hits album, so he started writing some songs that could fill out the record.

After writing more and more songs, Reznor eventually realized that he had enough material for a new album in his hands.

Reznor was unsure if he would release these songs as a full new album but in the end decided he was simply "seizing the moment of inspiration" and wanted the songs out.

The first single, "Came Back Haunted" leaked online one day before it's scheduled release of June 6th.

A music video for "Came Back Haunted" is in the works and should be released later this week.

"You know this time around, I'm doing something different," Reznor said as he referenced his "excellent experience" with Columbia Records.

Nine Inch Nails will be eligible for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2014, since the band would have been together for 25 years to make them eligible.

NIN is playing several festivals this summer including Reading, Leeds & Lollapalooza.

Their 'Tension 2013' Tour kicks off on September 28th in St. Paul, MN and runs through Nov. 25.
