Nina Pham Boyfriend Ebola Condition News: Alcon Releases Statement about Patient with Ebola Symptoms

According to rumors, last Sunday, Nina Pham's boyfriend was admitted to Alcon with Ebola like symptoms. However, reports neither confirmed nor denied the condition of the boyfriend whose present whereabouts are unknown.

In a statement by Alcon, it was mentioned that an associate of the company was admitted to Texas Presbyterian Hospital, which is believed to be the cause of the rumor.

"This measure was taken due to the fact that the associate was in contact with the Texas Health Presbyterian health care worker who has recently tested positive for the virus," the post reads, "The Alcon associate has not shown any signs or symptoms of the Ebola virus."

"Our thoughts are with our co-worker and their friends and family," the statement finished, "We are not releasing the name of the associate for reasons of privacy."

Pham was reportedly the first person to carry the deadly virus in US after she treated the Ebola patient Thomas Eric Duncan. Duncan died on October 8, and on October 13 Pham was admitted to Texas Presbyterian Hospital where it was confirmed that she had symptoms of Ebola and carried the virus.

Presently, Pham's spaniel named Bentley is also admitted in the special facility where the pet is undergoing tests while being quarantined to confirm if he has contracted the virus. The pet is presently not showing any symptoms of the virus, yet experts from the City of Dallas Animal Services and Texas A & M University believe that the symptoms may show up in the end.

"We are hopeful that Bentley's journey will contribute to what we know about Ebola and dogs, since they play such an important role in so many people's lives," Dr. Cate McManus from Dallas Animal Services stated to NBC News.

According to Sana Sayed, spokesperson of Dallas, Bentley is the most important thing to Nina after her family and proper care is being taken to ensure that Bentley is free from any illness.
