'Night at the Museum 3' Release Date 2014: Final Series Installment To Be Released This Christmas [VIDEO]

The much awaited third addition to the comedy film series, 'Night at the Museum', is all set to be released this year, on the 19th of December. The first trailer of the new movie entitled, 'Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb', has been released five months before the scheduled launch date for the family film.

The trailer is loaded with special effects as it showcases Ben Stiller's Larry Daley, the security guard, and his journey to London to work at the museum there. Other stars include, Owen Wilson, Rebel Wilson, Robin Williams, Ricky Gervais and Steve Coogan. It seems like a significant chunk of the movie will be set in the city of London.

While Coogan and Gervais are returning actors, Sir Ben Kingsley has been added as a Pharaoh, the keeper of the magical tablet, and Dan Stevens from the 'Downtown Abbey' comes in as Sir Lancelot. A new security guard will be played by Rebel Wilson. This film is directed by Shawn Levy and its official synopsis reads, "Get ready for the wildest and most adventure-filled Night At the Museum ever as Larry (Ben Stiller) spans the globe, uniting favorite and new characters while embarking on an epic quest to save the magic before it is gone forever."

It seems like the magical Tablet of Ahkmenrah is malfunctioning and a resolution lies in London. This is the final film in the hit film franchise and set to be released by 20th Century Fox.
