Britain's McLaren Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton has been seen smiling a lot these days. The reason is that his girlfriend and "X-Factor" judge Nicole Scherzinger, with whom he has been having an on-off-and-on relationship, is apparently happy and has publicly confirmed that they are back together. In fact, Nicole has congratulated Lewis on his qualifying F1 star win.

Soon after his victory, the "X-Factor" judge tweeted, "Congratulations @LewisHamilton So proud of u 4 taking pole position! First race of the season! @f1 #AustralianGP Race ur heart out babe! Xo."

More recently, she congratulated her ex-fiance once again on winning the F1, giving rise to speculation that the two were trying at romance again.

Meanwhile, the Huffington Post reports that the 28-year-old ace driver dedicated his Grand Prix victory last weekend to Nicole, signifying that the two are about to get back together. In a post race interview, the Mercedes driver got emotional saying, "It's not been the easiest few months, I was just saying that my family have been really supportive," adding, "It feels a little bit odd without that someone here - but I would say now that these are one of those races you want to dedicate to that someone."

It is worth mentioning here that Lewis and Nicole dated on and off for five years and just prior to their split, Lewis also suggested that they were contemplating marriage. He had said then, "We've been together for five years, which is quite a milestone really. But hopefully in the near future. Maybe before we get to six years."

However, it is understood that the busy work schedules of the couple made it more and more difficult for them to be together.

In fact, the latest comments of Lewis came in the wake of several tweets he posted last week. One of them read, "If you've found that special someone, don't EVER let them go no matter what!! Nothing in this world is more important."
