Nicki Minaj Sued by Mysterious Underground Electronic Artist, Says Nicki Jacked "Starships" Beat From his Song.[LISTEN NOW]

Underground electronic artist Clive Tanaka is suing the crap out of Nicki Minaj for copy right infringement. Minaj's super hit "Starships" is completely ripped off Tanaka's song "Neu Chicago".

Tanaka filed the suit this past Tuesday in a U.S. District Court in Chicago. Tanaka also names Minaj's co-writers Carl Falk, Wayne Hector, and Rami Yacoub and the "Starships" producer RedOne in the suit and says that they should have been aware that the track existed because it has been features in several television ads in Sweden, and has had a large number of plays over the internet.

One strange thing about the story is that Tanaka is said to be some sort of mystery man and no one knows anything about him including his attorney Christopher Niro who referred to Tanaka as "reclusive".  His real name and place of residency are all a mystery. Niro released the following statement about the suit, "We believe [the songs] are similar to the point that it is nearly impossible for it to be a coincidence."

Tanaka is demanding all of the profits Nicki Minaj has earned from "Starships". Minaj and her team have yet to release a statement about the lawsuit. You can check out both "Neu Chicago" and "Starships" down below, seems like another Robin Thicke vs Marvin Gaye scandal to me. Stay tuned for more news and updates.
