Nicki Minaj Responds to Kendrick Lamar's "Control" Verse / Talks About New Projects With Eminem and Drake [LISTEN NOW] [MORE DETAILS INSIDE]

Kendrick Lamar's "Control" verse is still the talk of the hip hop nation. It's still so relevant that rapper Nicki Minaj went on a rant about the black hippie claiming to be the king of New York, during her interview on Power 105.1.

During her interview Minaj talked about working with Eminem and Drake, but the highlight was when she voiced her opinion on Kendrick Lamar.

We all know Lamar dropped some heavy names on his "Control" verse, from Meek Mill, Pusha-T, A$AP Rocky, and even the man who put him on the track, Big Sean. Ms. Minaj didn't make the list of rappers that Lamar is "tryin to murder in the game," and this is what she had to say about it,

"He may be one of those respectful gentlemen that probably felt like, 'I don't want to say a female's name.' Or maybe he just don't think the kid is ill. But the kid knows the kid is ill, so I don't need to be on nobody's d*ck."

As far as Lamar crowning himself the "King of New York" Minaj said,

"I'm the Queen of New York; I'm the King of New York... Let me tell you why: platinum albums. Albums. Plural. Number one in five motherf*cking countries. Don't play with me. You better respect my motherf*cking gangsta, b*tch. When you got an album that goes number one in Japan, the UK, Australia, America and Canada at the same motherf*cking time, then you can speak my motherf*cking name."

Nicki Minaj went in, but apparently she didn't take her words too seriously because she later tweeted about it saying, "@NICKIMINAJ: Lol. I'm going to post the full interview. It was all in fun. For the record, Hov is the king of NY in my eyes."
