Nicki Minaj New ‘Anaconda’ Album Release Date; New Songs to Debut on August 4, 2014

Supporters of rapper Nicki Minaj will be able to listen to her highly anticipated Anaconda album track on August 4. The 31-year-old The Pink Print singer recently posted the album's cover art and an announcement of the release date on Twitter.

"My darlingz, I've pushed the release of Anaconda to next week, Monday 8/4. I promise you will understand why before the week is out. Loveeeeeeee uuuuuu," her photo caption reads. Its original release date was supposed to be July 28, but the artist decided to push the date back a few days.

Grammy nominee and songwriter Yung Berg is the producer of Nicki's forthcoming album. He mentioned that the project is a direct representation of the singer, "I think she gave you guys a really great example with 'Pills N Potions. It has rap in it, it has singing, but at the same token, it's really just more about Nicki being Nicki. I really feel like she's coming from the heart with this joint," he said.

Berg added, "The Pink Print is the female Blueprint. Like Jay-Z put out The Blueprint, I think this Pink Print really personifies that. And not only that, I'm really involved in it, and Nicki Minaj is like one of the best people. One of my best friends in the music industry right now period."

On July 27, the Pink Friday singer received varied reactions on social media after she posted a rather risqué photo on Instagram photo. However, Nicki defended that other similar photos shot by Sports Illustrated are deemed acceptable to publish and that her post is no different.

Nicki's newest Anaconda track is available on iTunes beginning Monday, August 4.
