Two of the biggest female rappers Nicki Minaj and Iggy Azalea have been wrapped up by rumors that they are in a feud following Minaj's acceptance speech during the BET Awards recently, June 29.

Upon accepting the award for "Best Female Hip Hop Artist," fans are under the impression that Minaj was dissing "Fancy" artist Azalea. Part of Minaj's speech said, "I thank God that I've been placed in a position to do something and represent women in a culture that is so male-driven. What I want the world to know about Nicki Minaj is, that when you hear Nicki Minaj spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it,"

If that was really for the purpose of dissing Azalea, it would seem very powerful as the artist was recently reported to have discovered an alarming fact about Azalea. Apparently rapper T.I. was secretly writing songs for Azalea although the report was never confirmed.

But of course, Minaj didn't let the rumors ruin her image as she quickly defended herself in a series of tweets, "The media puts words in my mouth all the time and this is no different. I will always take a stance on women writing b/c I believe in us," Minaj tweeted.

"I believe we're smart enough to write down our own thoughts and perspective, just like the men do. I've been saying this for 5 YEARS," Minaj continued.

"I've congratulated Iggy on the success of Fancy, publicly. She should be very proud of that. All the women nominated should b proud," she said in another tweet.

And finally, "That will never change my desire to motivate women to write. Our voices have to be heard. I hope I inspire up & coming females to do that," she tweeted in an attempt to explain her motives.

Meanwhile on Azalea's side, the artist also broke silence regarding the issue posting everything she had to say in an Instagram post. Captioning "This is my mind state about everything & the only time I'm ever going to refer to this again so go nuts guys, Enjoy it. Ps. If you squint exxxtra hard you can see tiny elves having illuminati meetings between the lines in my notes app too," she said.

The contents of her post state that she was not bothered by what ever happened at BET and was just exhausted by the people who send her to war with others. She said that she'd hate to see everyone exhausting efforts over things that she isn't 100% sure of.
