Nick Jonas New Music News: Singer to Perform Song Titled 'Levels' Live On MTV VMA Pre-Show [VIDEO]

"Jealous" singer Nick Jonas has announced that his new single is titled "Levels" and he will debut the track live on the forthcoming MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) pre-show.

IB Times reports that the singer recently took to his Twitter handle to announce, "My new single, "Levels" drops August 21st. I'll perform it live for the first time ever on the VMA pre-show," adding, "Also, this afternoon from 1-4 PST, I will be taking over MTV's snapchat and Instagram. Check it out. #NJLevelsVMAs."

According to the report, Jonas also launched a bicep-revealing video to announce his new song. The promo video starts with Jonas saying, "You're probably wondering why I'm up at 5 a.m.?" The singer adds "It's because I have an enormous announcement." Subsequently, Jonas reveals the name of his single, while he prepares himself with his morning coffee.

"Levels" is a follow up to his earlier two songs - "Jealous" and "Chains." Both these songs could make into the top 20 on the Billboard 200. Meanwhile, Us Weekly reported that the MTV VMA's pre-show will be hosted by Kelly Osbourne, Sway and Girl Code Live stars Carly Aquilino, Nessa Diab, and Nora "Awkwafina" Lum.

The former Disney star told Us Weekly, "I'm thrilled to showcase my new single, 'Levels' at such an incredible night in music." He further said, "There's nothing like playing new songs live for the first time, and I can't wait to surprise my fans during this performance."

The gala night will be opened by the band 'Walk the Moon,' comprising Nicholas Petricca, Kevin Ray, Sean Waugaman, and Eli Maiman, with their chart topping number, "Shut Up and Dance." This song has been nominated for Best Rock Video at the VMAs.

Meanwhile, the pre-show will be followed by the actual VMA awards on Aug. 30, which will be hosted by pop star Miley Cyrus. The show will air Sunday, Aug. 30, at 9 p.m. ET on MTV.
