Nexus 7 2016 Release Date Rumors: Tablet Series To Be Rebranded As Pixel?

The news and rumors on the Nexus 7 2016 are silent as everybody's attention seems to be focused on the Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL, which will reportedly feature the Android 7 Nougat.

The two smart phones will reportedly be launched during an event on Oct. 4. During the same event, the 4K Chromecast Ultra, Daydream VR and Google Home will also be simultaneously unveiled.

PCAdvisor said that Google might even spring a surprise by unveiling the Nexus 7 2016 this month.

Previously, noted tipster Evan Blass tweeted that Google has partnered with Huawei in order to build the Nexus 7. Also the 7-inch tablet is "on track for release before the end of the year."

One of the news and rumors surrounding the Nexus 7 is that it's going to be rebranded under the Pixel line. There's speculation that Google will unify its products in one brand.

As to the specs of the Nexus 7, it's supposedly going to be in Quad-HD or about 2560x1440p resolution. It's also sensitive to pressure. The tablet will be running a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor mated to the Adreno 530 GPU. The main snapper is around 13 MP.

If the news and rumors are true, the Nexus 7 will also have a 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. But there's expandable microSD memory of up to 2 TB.

Of course, all these news reports on the Nexus 7 can be considered as rumors for now especially since Google has not issued a statement confirming the above report.
