The New York Rangers will battle the St. Louis Blues on October 9 at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri.

The Rangers opens the 2014-2015 campaign on the road versus the Blues this Thursday, as New York looks to build upon the tremendous success the squad experienced last season.

"I thought his line had some moments in the sense that he didn't get as many offensive possibilities as in the past. Is it just him or is it how he and his linemates come together, I would say that it's a combo," said Rangers head coach Alain Vigneault to reporters in reference to his rookie countryman from Canada.

The Blues are attempting to defend their home ice versus the Rangers when the two squads faceoff on Opening night.

The Blues blew a 2-0 series lead versus the former defending (2013) Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks, which resulted in the St. Louis squad losing the series in six games.
