The New York Rangers will face off against the Montreal Canadiens at Belle Center Saturday afternoon in Montreal. The game will start at 1 p.m. ET and can be watched online through live stream via the link provided below (free for subscribers).
The Rangers will battle Canadiens on the road, after eliminating the Penguins from postseason contention by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday in Game 7. Rangers superstar Henrik Lundqvist becomes the first goalie in NHL History to win five consecutive Game 7s, highlighted by his 35 saves on May 13.
Rangers currently have four NHL championships (1927-28, 1932-33, 1939-40, 1993-94) but they must find a way to defeat Montreal to advance to the Stanley Cup Finals.
"I was so tired at the end," said Lundqvist to reporters. "But it was just a great feeling when you know it's a done deal and we did it."
The Canadiens, meanwhile will be looking defend their home ice versus the Rangers when the two teams battle each other in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
In Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals, goalie Carey Price's 29 saves allowed Montreal to eliminate the Boston Bruins from postseason contention by a score of 3-1 on May 14.
The Canadiens have won an NHL record 24 titles and they are looking to add another championship this year.
"You have an opportunity to get one step closer to the Stanley Cup," said Montreal player P.K. Subban to reporters. "We deserve it. We played hard. Nothing has come easy for us all year."
