Mets captain David Wright hopes Dillion Gee can pitch their squad to a victory versus the Nationals' Opening Day starter Stephen Strasburg. Curtis Granderson looks to make an impact today in his first game as a Met versus Washington today. Granderson spent his last 4 seasons as a member of the New York Yankees. Before today's game, Mets will honor the late HOF Ralph Kiner for his legendary career as a Met announcer. The Mets are looking to improve from their 74-88 record last year.

Strasburg hopes to lead his team to their first ever World Series championship.
