The New York Knicks will battle their former rivals Chicago Bulls on October 29 at Madison Square Garden in New York, New York.

The game will begin at 8:00 pm ET and can be viewed online through live stream via the link provided below (free for subscribers).

Rookie Knicks head coach Derek Fisher discussed what his New York squad must do in order to erase the memories of the disastrous (37-45) 2013-2014 campaign.

"I expect us to learn how to be great. How we quantify that, what that means in terms of number of wins, and making the playoffs and all those things - no doubt we want to make the playoffs and we're capable of doing it," said Fisher to The New York Post.

"I have absorbed and digested friends, and people that have expressed how great the city is when the Knicks are winning, and what that feels like and what that means to the people and to the communities ... that's the vision."

The first year head coach expressed his views regarding the criticisms his superstar athlete Carmelo Anthony has faced since he made his NBA debut (as member of the Denver Nuggets) in 2003.

"I think he's at times been kinda painted as a guy that thinks about himself first," said Fisher, "It has been very apparent from conversations we've had over the summer, after he signed as a free agent, even a little bit before that when we talked to him as a free agent, and then the rest of the summer and into training camp, that he really is a team guy."

Melo revealed his thoughts about nearly leaving New York (via free agency) and signing with the Los Angeles Lakers in order to join forces with Kobe Bryant.

"If I thought that [playing for the Lakers] was the right situation for me from an overall perspective as far as having a team there, then I would have looked at that situation more in-depth," said Anthony, according to an ESPN report.

"I just felt more comfortable staying here in New York. But as far as playing with him ... I'm here now but I would always love to play with Kobe."

In other Knicks news, center Andrea Bargnani is expected to miss the first three games of the season due to injury.

"I believe he'll thrive in the triangle. The 3-point shot is a bit out of his range, but from 20 feet and in, Andrea is a deadly shooter. And those are the kinds of shots that the offense will generate for him," said Knicks Team President Phil Jackson to ESPN in an interview in reference to Bargnani's potential success in the triangle offense this season.

Meanwhile, the Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau addressed the status of his shooting guard Jimmy Butler playing versus the Knicks at the "World Most Famous Arena" on Wednesday night.

"Yeah, he's a little better," said Thibodeau to reporters, "We'll see where he is, so that's a good sign.''

Butler is currently dealing with an injury in his left thumb, which means Kirk Hinrich would replace him in the starting lineup if he doesn't play on opening night.

"Yeah, it really is day-by-day," said Butler to reporters.

"Other than that, there's not much to say. It's better than it was. He's got it taped up, but he didn't practice. He's shooting, and that's about it. But it's encouraging that it's a little better."

The game will start at 8:00 pm ET and it can be watched on TV on ESPN, MSG and the WGN network or online through live stream by clicking here.
