The Knicks (2-3) are looking to snap their current two game losing streak when they battle their crosstown Atlantic division rival Nets on Friday night.

The Knicks lost to the Detroit Pistons by a final score of 98-95 after Carmelo Anthony scored only 13 points on 5-of-21 shooting attempts on November 5.

"We played with better effort in the second half, and I know my teammates feel the same way. We have to play like that the whole game," said Tim Hardaway to reporters after he scored 20 points in a losing effort.

Knicks head coach Derek Fisher revealed his thoughts regarding Melo's horrible performance at The Palace of Auburn Hills in Mo-Town on Wednesday night.

"I'm not worried if he's taking good shots, and I thought a lot of them were," said Fisher to reporters.

"I think he was trying to do the right thing and not attack too early -- that's part of finding his balance. There will be nights that are better."

Meanwhile, The Nets (2-2) look to prevent a potential two game losing streak when they host the Knicks on Friday night.

Nets lost to the Timberwolves by a score of 98-91 on November 5 after Minnesota went on a 9-0 run to end the game.

"It's good to get any game after this one. We're disappointed in how we closed out the game," said Brooklyn point guard Deron Williams to reporters.

"It's the beautiful thing of the NBA, you get a chance to get back on the court in a couple of days. It's good that we're playing the Knicks and we are always excited about that rivalry."
