A recent deal has been struck between BBC Worldwide and developers Microsoft Studios and Mojang, about 'Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition' DLC. This time around, 'Doctor Who' is set to come into the game in many ways, shapes, and forms.

The first DLC will cost $2.99/£1.99/€2.85/$2.95AUS and provide a character inspired by the 12^th Doctor, five other Doctors, and each of their TV series companions.

Additionally, gamers can expect to see some of the Doctor's most popular adversaries in the DLC as well. Players should look out for the most well known 'Doctor Who' villains and even the Daleks roaming about the world of 'Minecraft' in September

The deal between the the game's developers and the BBC will introduce additional DLC regularly, in an attempt to bring in most of the 'Doctor Who' world into the game.

A statement from the Rikesh Desai, who is a Digital Entertainment and Games Director at BBC Worldwide UK read "We're constantly looking for new and innovative ways to bring Doctor Who content to our loyal fans. Working collaboratively with Microsoft, we've created an exciting new product which will allow Doctor Who fans to create their own brand new adventures in the heart of the iconic world of Minecraft."
