New SSB Character: Xenoblade's Shulk to Grace Super Smash Bros on Wii U & 3DS, Roy & Marth Mix? [VIDEO]
Exciting news has just broken out about the new Super Smash Bros. Character added to the popular Nintendo franchise. Xenoblade's one and only Shulk has been added to the SSB universe on both the Wii U and 3DS platforms, for the upcoming title.
Shulk stems from the Wii RPG 'Xenoblade Chronicles' and stands a pretty good chance to be one of the top contenders in the upcoming 'Super Smash Bros 4' game because of that monster sword of his.
What's more, is that 'Xenoblade Chronicles' has just been announced for a launch on the 3DS platform, which is probably why Shulk was revealed for the Super Smash Bros. Universe at this time. However, the upcoming 'Xenoblade' game has only been confirmed for release in Japan, so fans everywhere else around the globe will have to wait for further word from Nintendo.
Stepping back into what Shulk will bring to the table, gamers who are unfamiliar with the character will quickly notice that he's got a pretty spectacular weapon with him. That weapon is actually called the Monado, and it's central to the 'Xenoblade' storyline.
Fans can expect Shulk to play much like some of the other blade wielding characters, like Link or Marth, maybe even Roy.
However, as one can note by watching the trailer showcase of the new character, he seems rather speedy in his attacks. This has led some keen eyes to think that he'll be a combination of the 'Fire Emblem' heros Marth and Roy. He'll have the speed of Marth, with the moves of Roy.
While that seems like a recipe for destruction, there is little information about the character at the moment, beside the video about him that can be seen below:
