The New Orleans Saints have a number of issues to get past and consider when preparing for the 2013 NFL draft. This off-season, the New Orleans has been forced to have a spotlight on defense.

In 2012 the Saints ranked at the bottom beaming with the defensive Statistic. The team has no other go; they have to put it hard for the improvisation because it was their ultimate cost. Roy Ryan a new coordinator is edging the team hard which will include the like of John Abraham and Mike Jenkins a new draft targets. A change like that is going to require a major overhaul. The draft for the next few years will be massively important to the change on defense.

Many teams has been shown interest, and John Abraham has been sitting on the free agent market ever since the Atlanta Falcons decided not to re-sign him back in March. As the market is low for Veterans, the offer contract is not yet given to Abraham. Because of NFC Abraham makes him a easy target for the saints. John has been the new edge for the saints. The patriots have hosted a visit but nothing came out of it.

The saints are moving forward for the secondary uplifts. They gave a try to sign up the Nnamdi Asomugha, but it ended in loss out to the San Francisco 49ers. With a shortage of quality cornerbacks available, the Saints might take a look at Jenkins as an option. Jenkins does have experience playing in Saints defensive says coordinator Rob Ryan's.

So in this upcoming NFL, the area, which saints will be focusing, is on defense. They are the one of the top team in drafting Tyrann Mathieu. The former-LSU cornerback has been working towards a comeback after being dismissed from the team for failed drug tests. He impressed scouts at the combine and his Pro Day. If focused, he could be a game-changer for the Saints defense in 2013.
