'Crash Bandicoot' and 'Spyro the Dragon' Games Canceled, Production Concept Art Pictures Released [IMAGES]

A professional digital artist recently disclosed some very exciting news which quickly turned into a seriously disappointing announcement. Ryan Harrison claims that he was working on new 'Crash Bandicoot' and 'Spyro the Dragon' titles, but has since been told to stop development for good.

Harrison was working on the games for an independent company and had signed a non-disclosure agreement to prevent the leak of information about the titles to the public.

However, he has recently came out and spoke about the titles in a way that would not break his NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement).

When asked about when the titles were being developed, he said, "It was in production in April of 2012 and got canceled in May 2013."

Beyond all this, he was allowed to post some of his concept art, and the models he worked on for the two games, "Even though they were both canceled. However I was allowed to post my work for them on my accord."

Harrison was then asked why the would-be popular titles were canceled, he said, "Honestly. They wouldn't share us the detailed reason as to why. Our projects were fairly young when they were pitched. The Spyro project was much older than the Crash Bandicoot one."

He added that the games hadn't really made it that far into their development anyway, "It didn't make it past pre-beta."

It's important to note that since Harrison is under an NDA, these statements are just the tip of the iceberg. While the production is over for these new versions of the popular Sony titles, there's nothing that says they have been shutdown for good.
